Are there any features in Spendview to alert administrators of suspicious activities?

Thanks,

Ilja

Hi @ilja.tarans , thanks for sharing !

Stay tuned, we are planning to have that and more in our Alert Centre in future Spendview iterations! We’ll definitely reach out to you as one of our Spendview Pioneers with early access  when this feature is ready to be tried out!

Hi @ilja.tarans ,

In Spendview itself you are the only user for now (we are working on multi-user and role based access)  so  this is less relevant at the moment.

Regarding “in Snowflake Activity”, we do not represent any of the logging in or other security activity back to user, but we have some of the “logging-in” widgets planned on roadmap.

If possible could you please share what type of logging widgets/notification would be useful in your use case ?

Hi @jevgenijs.jelistratovs ,

Here are some examples:

  • Failed Query Alerts: Instant notifications when a query fails for reasons like syntax errors, lost connectivity, or unauthorized data access
  • Query Execution Logs: A widget that displays logs about query execution, such as start time, end time, duration, run by and any errors or warnings.
  • Usage Spikes Alerts: Proactive alerts when spending on Snowflake services approaches or crosses a certain threshold, assisting with budget management

Thanks,

Ilja
